WAKE UP explores the tension between awareness and distraction, control and disruption, through an accumulation of gestures, overlapping marks, and interventions into the surface.

Executed on thin, unprimed canvas, the work develops through a continuous dialogue between action and material response. Bold fields of colour intersect with intricate networks of lines, creating competing structures that emerge, overlap, and dissolve.

Perforations interrupt the continuity of the canvas, challenging its role as a passive support. The surface becomes both a space of construction and a material boundary that can be penetrated, questioned, and destabilised.

Within Beyond the Container, WAKE UP investigates the fragile relationship between order and unpredictability. Rather than resolving these opposing forces, the painting allows them to coexist, revealing a structure that remains open to disruption.
