EQUILIBRI SBILANCIATI (2025/2026)
Equilibri Sbilanciati explores vulnerability and reconstruction through acts of rupture and repair. Rather than treating damage as something to conceal, the series embraces it as an essential stage in the life of the work. Canvases are intentionally cut, punctured, or disrupted before being reconstructed through stitched interventions, allowing the physical process of repair to become part of the visual language.
The stitched seams do not restore an original state but instead acknowledge transformation. They remain visible as traces of fracture, resilience, and adaptation, suggesting that stability is never permanent but continually renegotiated. Wool thread becomes both a structural and symbolic element, connecting separated surfaces while emphasizing the fragility of the bonds that hold them together.
Working between intuitive gesture and deliberate intervention, the series reflects on the tension between control and unpredictability. The repaired surfaces preserve the memory of rupture while opening the possibility for new forms to emerge. Through this process, Equilibri Sbilanciati proposes repair not as a return to wholeness, but as a creative act that generates new relationships, revealing vulnerability as a source of strength rather than weakness.
