I’m pleased to announce that my project Collisioni Precarie has been selected for UNPREDICTABLE, curated by Roberta Bani and Giulia Pozzi, as part of Paratissima 2026. taking place from 30 October to 1 November 2026 at the Real Collegio Carlo Alberto in Moncalieri, Turin, Italy.
COLLISIONI PRECARIE
For Paratissima, Collisioni Precarie brings together three works — Distrazioni di Massa, Humani di Razza and Linea Instabile — in an installation exploring the fragility of human systems and the tension between order and disruption.
The compositions develop as unstable structures, where lines, layers and fragments attempt to organise space without reaching a definitive equilibrium. Error, deviation and overlapping are not elements to be corrected, but become part of the visual process.
In Humani di Razza, the ironic reference to the expression “purebred dogs” reflects on mechanisms of classification and the hierarchies that influence the construction of contemporary identity. In Linea Instabile, open structures and discontinuous trajectories evoke precarious systems crossed by opposing forces and continuously subject to shifts.
Distrazioni di Massa extends this tension beyond the surface of the canvas. Threads descend into the surrounding space, disrupting the boundary between the work and its environment and introducing an element that cannot be entirely contained.
Through stitching, fragmented marks and intuitive gestures, Collisioni Precarie investigates the relationship between control and vulnerability, order and disintegration. Rupture does not necessarily lead to destruction: it can remain within the structure, challenge it and contribute to redefining it.
Presented together, the three works establish a dialogue in which instability becomes not a failure of the system, but an active and constructive element.
